About Andy

  Andy Stoner was the #1 Tennis player at Cumberland Valley High school then
moved on and was a two-time NCAA All-American from Millersville University. In
his four years at Millersville, he also won five Pennsylvania Athletic Conference
titles in singles & doubles. Traveling extensively in the United States and abroad
on the satellite pro tour, he earned his ATP world rankings in singles and doubles.  
As a member of the 1994 New Jersey Stars: World Team Tennis, he gained
valuable experience training with former WTA #1 Martina Navratilova.

  Andy was a member of the 1998, 1999 & 2003 USTA Italia Cup team and has 24
USTA national titles on all four surfaces. Andy is a certified teacher through the
United States Professional Tennis Association and was inducted into the
Millersville Athletic Hall of Fame in 2004. His most recent titles are the 2012
Men's 35's Hard court doubles with partner Rick Leach and the 2012 Men's 45's
Grass court doubles with partner Gil Schuerholz, 2013 Men's 50's National Clay
Court Championships in singles & doubles, 2014 Men's 50's National Grass Court
Championships in singles and 2014 National Clay's Singles & Doubles.

  He was selected to represent the US in the International Tennis Federation (ITF)
Men's Dubler Cup 4 years in a row and was the captain of the Fred Perry Cup team
for 2014. In 2009, he was ranked #1 nationally in the USTA Men's 45s and #3 ITF
world ranking. Currently, he is ranked #1 nationally in the USTA Men's 50s.

  Andy is the Director of Tennis at Gainey Ranch Estate Club in Scottsdale,
Arizona. He has over 25 years of teaching experience, has coached nationally
ranked juniors and has worked with ATP & WTA touring professionals.

Andy and former #1 WTA player Tracy Austin at an
exhibition in Surprise, AZ.  Tracy is a two-time US Open
singles champion and also won Wimbledon mixed with
her brother John.

"I love the rivalry between Roger & Rafa."

Favorite all-time tennis players?
"Bjorn Borg was my idol growing up and
I was also inspired by Andre Agassi."

When did you start playing tennis?
"11 years old. Prior to that I played a lot
of baseball; I was a pitcher."

Your favorite shot in tennis?
"My backhand."

What accomplishments are you most
proud of in your tennis career?
"Winning 24 national titles on all 4
surfaces (gold balls) and representing
my country 3 times for the Italia Cup and
the Dubler Cup 4 times & Fred Perry
Cup in 2014."
